Meet The Face Behind Joseph Fera Law Office

I’m Joseph Fera, proud owner of Joseph Fera Law Office.

I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

I’ve been a lawyer, in private practice, for the past twenty years. I have a great fondness for court work and particularly trial work. It is this passion that drives to either defend or represent clients on criminal charges, close real estate transactions as well as draft wills.

One of the most important decisions that I face on a daily basis is advising criminal clients on how to proceed with their legal defense as the stakes are high because peoples’ liberty is at stake. I pride myself on my ability to analyze evidence, negotiate effectively and cross-examine witnesses.

While I'm proud of what I do, Mark Geragos and Johnny Cochrane are two of the smoothest criminal defense lawyers I’ve ever seen and they’ve had a huge impact on the way I go about with my law practice. On the other hand, Johnny Unitas - the great NFL quarterback - who was renowned for living by the rule that “talk is cheap” has influenced me. I believe in action and leading by example.

I believe in hard work, loyalty and respect for everyone. My motto is doing unto others as you would have them do unto you. It’s attributes such as these as well as strong family roots that have played a major role in my success.

While I am not at work, I am a devoted husband and father of three who spends most of his time getting my children to and from their respective sporting activities. The birth of my children and watching them mature into good citizens has by far been the most satisfying moment in my life. Also, I’m a big fan of celebrating multiculturalism and this is one of the reasons I support the Guelph Multicultural Festival that promotes multiculturalism through a variety of events.

I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.
